📖 Week 1: “The Beginning of Wisdom”
Proverbs 1:1–7
1 The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel;
2 To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;
3 To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity;
4 To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.
5 A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:
6 To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.
7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Life Application
Proverbs 2 reminds us that wisdom is not automatic—it must be pursued with effort and desire. Just like miners search deep underground for silver or gold, we are called to dig into God’s Word daily to find His wisdom.
-
In our modern world, we are bombarded with opinions, temptations, and false directions. Wisdom helps us discern the good path from the destructive one.
-
Seeking wisdom means praying for understanding, reading God’s Word consistently, and being willing to obey what God reveals.
-
True wisdom protects us: it keeps us from harmful friendships, bad decisions, and the snares of sin.
-
When we seek wisdom, God promises to guide, shield, and preserve us.
👉 Takeaway: If we truly desire wisdom, we must be intentional—study the Bible, pray daily, and lean on God’s Spirit. Then His wisdom will guard us in every part of life—relationships, work, family, and spiritual growth.
